Vocalista de Goo Goo Dolls…
Unos grandes
When I was a kid the first thing I answered after the question “what do you want to be when you grew up” was singer or actress.
Being 8 or 9 years old I became with the idea of being a writer and living of what i earned from that. My mum tried to make me see that the idea was almost impossible. Really few authors could live with the money they got from their books. But I knew the only thing I could do was to write, it was the only thing I knew I was kind of good on…
So as I grew up the ideas came flashing throught my mind: journalist for a teenager managize, camerawoman and even the idea of becoming a teacher were atractive, but seriously, kids of nowadays are everything exept respetuous.
And finally a couple of years ago the scriptwriter idea arrived. Simple and funny as well as interesting. I could still write, earn money and have a proper job. The movies world creates a lot of money, they need stories and pay a lot for them. Or that was what I thought… poor naïve thing… yes sure, in the States a scripwriter can earn a lot but not here, in this country, where it is said our cinema is bad, where we don’t have enough money to make it better and where the producers are here for the money, and not for the magic.
And what could I do? Was I going to study a scriptwriting career? Where? And what if I wasn’t goog enough and nobody wanted to work with me? I couldn’t jump. So I decided to study English Filology, where I can learn more English, practice my writing and have a career in case what I want to do won’t work. After finishing here I’ll go to Madrid and I’ll do a Master of scriptwriting, then… maybe I’ll travel to NYC or Los Angeles… who knows…
